Join the Lake George Land Conservancy on Saturday, January 12 from 11am- 1pm as we trek into LGLC’s Amy’s Park looking for signs of wildlife with Wildlife Technician Jessica Coulter.

All ages welcome!

Location: Amy's Park- participants should be prepared to walk on relatively flat, mixed terrain for around 1 mile.

Have you ever spotted a track on a snowy trail or riverbank, and wondered who had been there before you? Wildlife are all around us when we step into the woods, you just have to know where to look. Tracks, tail drags, scat, and fur tufts are just a few ways that you can identify your fellow furry hikers. Join Wildlife Technician Jessica Coulter on a hike through Amy’s Park to discover the secret signs that animals leave behind and learn about the natural history of the Adirondack Park. All skills levels are welcome.

Tracking guides and field notebooks recommended.

Guide will have a med kit and emergency supplies while on the hike. This is a winter hike- all participants should wear appropriate winter weather gear. No bathrooms will be available, please plan accordingly.

All participants will be required to fill out a waiver prior.

Weather is subject to cancellation due to weather. The road to Amy's Park is not paved- be prepared for variable road conditions as you approach the trailhead.

Suggested Gear:

Waterproof, warm hiking boots that are comfortable & meant for walking in snow or on ice. Depending on conditions, snow shoes or micro-spikes will be recommended.
