Do you love to camp on the islands in the summer? We do to!
Join Ellen Apperson Brown as she discusses her new book, “John Apperson’s Lake George”, shares rare photos and describes the key role that Apperson and his compatriots played in ensuring that the beauty of Lake George would endure for generations. Admired by the likes of George Foster Peabody, Al Smith and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, John Apperson was not only an impactful conservationist but also an avid outdoors-man and thrill seeker who spent his free time camping, skate sailing, mountaineering and exploring this amazing area.
Join us on Thursday, July 20th at 5:30 to find out more about some of the pioneers of camping on the Lake George islands and the tremendous work that was done to ensure that we would still be enjoying those memories today.
Ellen will also be signing copies of her book, which will be available for purchase.
